First Visit

On the first visit to our office, you will be required to fill out a set of detailed intake forms which describe your current state of health as well as conditions and other problems in your history. Dr. Joe Hornback will then perform a very thorough spinal examination and consultation. If your health history and examination indicate that x-rays are necessary to proceed with chiropractic care, you will be referred to Desert Valley Radiology or another local imaging facility.

Once it has been determined that you are ready for chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Joe will give you a brief overview of how chiropractic works. He will also explain thoroughly what he sees on his examination while he’s in the process of adjusting you. The majority of his adjustments are given with what is known as Diversified Technique or Palmer (College of Chiropractic) Package. He may also use the Activator Tool or other low-force procedures. These low-force adjusting techniques allow him to adjust virtually anyone, in any condition. He has adjusted patients just minutes old, way up into their late 90’s. He has also cared for women just before and just after delivering babies, as well as people on their way home from a surgical procedure.
