Dr. Guohua Ye Massey earned her degree at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, Harbin, in China. Upon graduating in 1994 she worked for two hospitals in Harbin as a Chinese Medicine Doctor which included treatments for common to severe diseases with Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM) and herbs.

She enrolled in the Master of Science Program in Oriental Medicine at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in 2013. After graduation she became a Professor Herbal Medicine at PIHMA where she continues today. Currently she teaches Herbal Preparation and Herbal Theory courses.
